Tool Configuration with PowerTrace Serial and Debug Cable

The pinout of the 40-pin Samtec connector may include the debug signals which need to be connected to the Debug Cable. Since the PowerTrace Serial provides a 34-pin DEBUG connector for this purpose, a Converter IDC20A to MIPI-34 PowerTrace Serial is needed to connect the 20-pin connector of the Debug Cable to the 34-pin DEBUG connector of the PowerTrace Serial.

Alternatively the Debug Cable can be plugged to a dedicated 20-pin debug connector on the target. In this case it is recommended to NOT connect the debug signals (VREF-DEBUG, TCK, TMS, TRST-, TDI, TDO, RESET-, DBGRQ, DBGACK, RTCK) to the 40-pin Samtec connector.
