TRACE32® now supports the megaAVR® 8-bit controllers from Microchip®

Hoehenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn, November 2016 – Lauterbach, the leading manufacturer of microprocessor development tools, has announced its support for the megaAVR 8-bit microcontroller family from Microchip.

Based on proven, industry-leading technology, the megaAVR family of microcontrollers offers one of the industry´s widest selection of devices in terms of memories, pin-counts and peripherals. These include everything from general-purpose devices to models with specialized peripherals like Peripheral Touch Controller (PTC), USB, LCD controllers, as well as CAN, LIN and Power Stage Controllers (PSC).

The Lauterbach system provides effective software debugging via the standard JTAG interface including run control, OS support and flash programming. The tools can be connected to the host via USB 3.0 or Gigabit Ethernet ports. The included TRACE32 PowerView software provides an efficient and user-friendly interface for high-level language (HLL) debugging of C and C++.
