Debugger for Microchip PIC32

Hofolding, February 2008 - LAUTERBACH, the market and technology leader in JTAG debuggers, announced that the TRACE32 PowerTools are now available for the new Microchip PIC32 family. These chips are based on a MIPS32 M4K core and are software compatible with the Microchip 16-bit PIC family.

The existing MIPS32 debugger has been enhanced for the new processor architecture. This added support brings a mature high end debugging solution to PIC32 from Microchip. Included in the TRACE32 PowerView software are the efficient and user-friendly HLL debugger for C and C++, the program flow trace, run time statistics and the flash programming tool for the internal flash memory. TRACE32 PowerTools are connected via USB 2.0 or Ethernet 10/100 or 1000 MBit/s to the host computers and run under Windows or Linux. The software of existing MIPS32 debuggers can be easily updated to support the new processor family.
