JTAG Debugger The debug cable for the 14 pin JTAG interface is compatible for all MPC55xx. All customers who already use a JTAG Debugger for MPC5500 (LA-7753) can add the support for the MPC551x family by a software upgrade. NEXUS Debugger Since the NEXUS Debugger and Trace for MPC5500 (LA-7610) was only designed for 3.3 V, a new NEXUS Debugger and Trace for the MPC551x is provided. It provides: Support for MPC551x target voltage range of 3.3 V and 5 V Supports full NEXUS port (8 MDO pins) as well as reduced NEXUS port (4 MDO pins) Supports NEXUS class 2+ (Program trace messages, Watchpoint messages and Ownership trace messages) The TRACE32 software supports debugging of both cores inside an MPC551x with the addition of a TRACE32 Multicore Debugging License.
