Debugger Adaption for Renesas Electronics (NEC) 78K0R Debugger


The debugger is connected via 16 pin double row connector to the target. Currently only 2-wire connection (TOOL0 + TOOL1) between target and debugger is supported. If single wire connection is necessary, please contact Technical Support.

Between TOOL0 and VDD a Pull-up-resistor of 1,5 kOhm is recommended.

Connector Type

  • This is a standard 16 pin double row (two rows of 8 pins) connector (pin to pin spacing: 2.54mm/0.100").
  • If terminal strip without shroud is used, the spacing marked with "A" must be a minimum of 25.5mm/1".

Debugger Adaption for Renesas Electronics RL78 Debugger


The debugger is connected via 14 pin double row connector to the target. RL78 support only a 1-wire connection (TOOL0) between chip and debugger.

Between TOOL0 and VDD a Pull-up-resistor of 1,5 kOhm is recommended.
